Divine Orders

Several significant changes were made to Divine Orders today.

Most noticeably, the leadership structure of a Divine Order is more akin
to that of a clan, now. Players are assigned to specific positions (or
ranks) within an Order. Each rank has access to various privileges and
shrine powers (now referred to as miracles).

These positions and assigned privileges/miracles are determined by the
God of the Order. In addition, a God may now choose to accept members
into a Congregation. The Divine Order represents the priesthood devoted
to serving a God, whereas the Congregation members serve as the normal
followers.

If a God wishes, He/She may set their Congregation to be open, where any
player who is not already the servant of a God may join the Congregation
may go to a shrine and JOIN CONGREGATION OF <god>. If the Congregation
is not open, you will instead have to speak to a member of the Divine
Order who has the ability to annoint you into the Congregation.

Miracles have been drastically changed. Instead of drawing upon an
Order's essence, most will now instead draw upon your personal
communion. Communion represents your closeness with your chosen Deity.
You can increase your communion by offering corpses and gold at shrines.
A portion of your offering will go to increase the Order's essence and a
portion will go to increase your communion. You can see an estimate of
your current communion level with GODFEELINGS.

12 new miracles have been added. Not all Orders will have access to all
miracles. In the near future, the Gods will be choosing which miracles
they wish their Order members to have access to. You may use ORDER
MIRACLES to see what miracles you may currently beseech your God for.
Keep checking, as this will likely be changing soon.

Any questions may be directed to your Order's Patron, while any bugs
should be reported, in detail, with the BUG command.

Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
