Events... oooer.

A common complaint we have from people who participate in events is that they cannot do anything about the event, or change the event, or anything like that.

One thing I have been careful to do with this current event, is make sure players to change the direction of the event based on their action. In the case of the digging dwarves, if only one person wants to unearth it and everyone else wants to fill it back in, then we are going to alter the event to allow for that.

That is the fundamental difference that allows our games to be different. We can react to those things.

As it appears there is a large faction of people that are currently trying to stop the digging, we are going to be doing two things.

One, we are increasing how fast the dwarves work.
Two, is the dwarves are not there (because they are dead), the rooms will every so slowly collapse back in.

So, if your group really wants to dig that temple out, defend those diggers.
Or, if your group really wants to fill it in, kill off the diggers.

This is a massive event; it will require political maneuvering, tactic changes, straight up fighting, etc. Do not make the mistake of thinking just because we planned it this way, it will happen no matter what.

Fear not, I am watching all and will make sure something happens though.
