Artifact Extravaganza!

It's Artifact August! During this month we will be offering a staggering 30% off of all credit artifacts, so if there's something you've been dying to buy, now's the time! To go with this promotion, we've also got a few new things to reveal, and some artifact alterations to announce. The Token Wares system has also been drastically revamped and now looks more like the standard artifact sales interface, including an integrated upgrade path for relevant artifacts.

New Artifacts
-------------
A fragrant sachet of potpourri. 50 credits.
+ Never smell foul again! When you are suffering from the stinky affliction, holding this potpourri will nullify the intermittent messages of your stench.

An ethereal spade. 100 credits.
+ This artifact decreases the time it takes to dig or bury by 66%.

A miniature generator. 100 credits.
+ This little generator can be carried with you wherever you go, and any corpses placed into it will act as though placed in your city or council's generator. Note: if your city or council does not currently have a generator, this artifact will not work.

A truesilver mug. 100 credits.
+ This mug, when filled with a libations fluid, will never empty!

A botanical guidebook. 150 credits.
+ Doubles the number of plants you find in a room when using SEARCH FOR PLANTS.
+ Note: does not work with terrariums.

A saddlebag. 5 tokens.
+ Doubles the capacity of any caravan you lead.

Orbs of ambience. 2-20 tokens.
+ These peculiar orbs can be fused into your house, and allow you to specify custom ambient messages.
+ Fusing this orb to your house will suppress any natural environmental messages.
+ Syntax: ORB.
+ Level 1: 2 tokens. Two ambiences.
+ Level 2: 5 tokens. Six ambiences.
+ Level 3: 9 tokens. Twelve ambiences.
+ Level 4: 14 tokens. Twenty ambiences.
+ Level 5: 20 tokens. Forty ambiences.
+ You should upgrade via the new TOKEN UPGRADE <artifact> [CONFIRM].

Vorpal shards. 2-20 tokens.
+ The vorpal shard many of you have come to know and love has been discovered to be only the tiniest of fragments. There are now larger shards available that will increase the capacity of your rift even further.
+ Level 1: 2 tokens. Doubles capacity.
+ Level 2: 5 tokens. Triple capacity.
+ Level 3: 9 tokens. Quadruple capacity.
+ Level 4: 14 tokens. Quintuple capacity.
+ Level 5: 20 tokens. Sextuple capacity.
+ Only the highest value shard you own will be applied. You should upgrade via the new TOKEN UPGRADE <artifact> [CONFIRM].

Artifact Changes
----------------
+ The Ring of Magick's Bane no longer acts as armour and is instead a 15% resistance to magick type or mental source damage. It can be considered a magickal equivalent to the surcoat.

+ The Altar of Sanctity may now change its appearance when you TAP it, if you are in an Order and your God has set a custom description for it to take.

+ The Torc of Enunciation now costs 400 credits.

+ The Wand of Reflection now only generates one reflection per use, but can be used endlessly.

+ The Gem of Cloaking now has two effects. The current SAY TULAHUAR toggles on/off your location showing up on the WHO list. The new SAY TULAHURI will remove you from WHO completely, but will drain charge from the gem. Each gem will regain 30 minutes worth of charge each in-game month, up to a maximum of 300 minutes.

Deleted Artifacts
-----------------
+ An incandescent crystal.
+ A shimmering crystal.
+ A holy symbol of the circle.
+ A quill of engraving.
+ An embroidering needle.
+ A Mathyus cane.

Anyone with a ring of Magick's Bane, a wand of reflection, or a gem of cloaking may request a 100% refund at any time during this month only, by messaging me. Those with the Torc of Enunciation may message me any time during this month to request a trade-in at the old price. Any artifacts that have been deleted have been removed and their owners given a 100%
refund.

Enjoy!

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
