Greetings!

As many of you are aware, I have been working on a new skill for the Priest profession, intended to replace the Healing skill, which is deemed somewhat outdated. The work is progressing well, and I am now looking for players who would be interested in helping out with beta testing of the new skill, mostly in relation to its combat-related capabilities.

If you would like to beta test the Priest changes, please send me an application in an in-game message or an e-mail to garryn@imperian.com. I'll pick the testers early next week, so if you are interested, please be sure to send the application on Sunday 21st at the latest. You will not need to sign any NDAs and you don't need to have the Priest profession on any character (although experience with the profession is certainly welcome), but you should have a reasonable understanding of how our combat system works.

If applying, please also include a brief description why you think that you would be a good tester. You can omit this part if you have been participating in the Wytch beta testing earlier this year, as I already know what I can expect from you.

Finally, I'd like to briefly describe the upcoming changes, so you have an idea what you can be looking forward to.

The new skill's primary focus is to increase the combat potential of the profession, as well as to give the profession more group-oriented abilities. The new skills give the profession a more religious feel - the three big concepts are fanatism, incense burning, and prayers. Fanatism is primarily combat-oriented, incense burning provides a mix of offensive, defensive and support enhancements, while prayers an be used to help your allies while both bashing and fighting by providing health and mana regeneration, increased constitution, and more. Finally. most aspects from the Healing skill are preserved, including all the blessings as well as the ability to heal people at a distance.

As you can see, you can anticipate many new interesting abilities to play with, and I do hope that you will like them! The changes will be released within a few weeks, but if you would like a more detailed description of the new skill, you can find a (slightly outdated) document at http://forums.imperian.com/index.php?showtopic=9677&view=findpost&p=419803

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…
