Hello everyone!

I'm really excited about this new addition to our arsenal of ways to help you, the players, have a more enjoyable experience in Imperian.

I'd like to take a moment to tell you about a new thing we're trying out, called the Roleplay Channel.

What it is:
A means for you to communicate with the docents for spontaneous roleplay.

How it works:
You will enter RPT <your message> to request spontaneous roleplay interaction. A docent, if one is available, will respond, seeking more information about what you're trying to do.

NOTE: If this is a request requiring planning, or special circumstances beyond the abilities of our docents, you will be referred to Me, so go ahead and send emails of that type to docents@imperian.com. We'd be more than happy to help you with that sort of thing, but this channel is not really set up to work well for more intensive events.

Example:

Eilde is sitting in the bar with Garryn, having some drinks. Unfortunately Garryn is terribly shy and scared of girls, so Eilde thinks "Man, this guy is an awful date. I could use some entertainment." She then does:

RPT Man, this guy is a real snorefest! Can you help me? I would love someone to talk to right now!

The docent would then respond, find out a little more, and discover that all Eilde wants is someone to talk to. So the docent then posesses the barkeep, they share some laughs, swap stories, and a boring moment becomes a fun one.

A final word of caution: This channel is purely experimental at this stage. Persons using it to attempt to contact the Divine for any reason will lose the privilege to use it, and if enough people abuse it, the channel itself will be removed without remorse.
