Bed Bugs Dead Bugs

GENERAL:
- Fixed a bug where pets from professions would appear on login when the player was not in the correct profession. It now checks to make sure you have the actual skill before the creature is summoned. This applies to: cobras, predator wolves, songbirds and grove guardians.

- Predator Wolves and Assassin/Renegade Cobras will now flee depending on their courage level.

- If a player is deleted, their pets will now also be erased permanently.

- NEW City Power: SANCTUARY.
- This will allow players with the power to send pets off to a city's stable/kennel.
- You can only send the pets of inactive players (14 days) from your own city.
- You will need to use the normal city politics system to give this power to players.

SABOTAGE:
- Added the missing space in "PERSONsigns".

- Entry messages for GHOSTed players will now return the correct direction.

- You can no longer appraise a phased target unless you are also phased.

- You can no longer AWAIT a player that is phased if you are unphased.

- You can no longer BURY while phased.

- You can no longer stack LIGHTWALLs in a single direction.

- Cobras are now able enter your inventory when summoning it for the first time.

- Bleeding damage from clothesline traps will now give credit to the trap layer. (Applies to Hunters/Outriders).

- Noosing will now return fail messages and reset at each tick if the player has logged out, they have moved rooms/elevations or is no
longer a valid target.

TAMING:
NOTE #1: There were many bug reports on certain skills not working. Don't forget that obey levels are factored into why some pets will not succeed at a task every time (i.e. swimming and ratting).

NOTE #2: It'd be nice if you mentioned your pet # in your bug reports too.

- Kennel release costs are now capped at 20k.
- Stable release costs are now capped at 40k.

- You can now search through your pet list - PETLIST <animal type>.

- Pets from professions should no longer continue ratting if they have become invisible (switching professions).

- Dead pets should no longer be ratting.

- Pets shall no longer leave through blocked exits.

- Tamed crows should properly follow a target when flying.

- Pets no longer need to know how to climb in order to TREETOSS.

- You can ORDER PET EMERGE to stop them from hiding.

- Newly tamed pets will no longer gather/loot automatically without training in said skills.

- You can no longer train dead pets.

- Tracking will no longer display two entry messages to the target.

- I've removed the check of pet hunger level as a requirement for ordering your pet to return.

- Mobiles that are being ridden by a player shall now display a movement message if they are forced to move (relates mainly to mobs being intimidated).

- A pet's owner should no longer receive the line "An ethereal dragon has delivered.." if they are the target.

- Birds will no longer return to a player's inventory if they are ratting.

- Rats killed by ratting pets will now decay like normal rats.

- When using ORDER ENTOURAGE/LOYALS, dead mobiles will be ignored.

2021 and Beyond

Hello Imperian! Another year passes! A few months from now will mark my second year on Aetherius. Time sure flies! However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
