1v1 Combat Tournament

I've finished setting up the 1v1 tournament brackets.

The commands to interact with the tournament system are as follows:

TOURNAMENT MATCH
- If you are participating in a tournament, this will tell you the
tournament #, the round #, and your opponent (should you have one).

TOURNAMENT VIEW <tournament #> <round #>
- This will show you a list of the matches that are assigned to a
specific round of the tournament.

TOURNAMENT RECORD WIN|LOSS
- This will allow you to record the result of your current match.

The brackets are a seeded double-elimination bracket. You can read more about this type of bracket at http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Double-elimination_tournament.

If you lose a match, you will be dropped down into the Losers' bracket. If you lose a match in the Losers' bracket, you are out of the tournament completely. The initial seeding was done based on the same calculation system that determines what tier you participate in.

Once you have a match and an opponent, you may fight in any way you want. It can be in the arena, out of the arena, or even over a game of chess. It doesn't really matter so long as you both agree on the terms of the win/loss, and that both participants record the result of the match after it is done.

All matches have a time limit of 48 hours after the match first becomes available. If you do not complete your match within 48 hours, a default winner will be chosen.

The tournament record command will ask you for an AGREE confirmation, but please make sure to pay attention so that no mistakes are made and so that the tournament can progress smoothly.

If you do not record the result of your match after it is completed, I will probably shrub you. So don't try to be a poor loser and refuse to let the tournament progress.

Penned by my hand on the 9th of Solis, in the year 606 AD.

However, the vast majority of this wouldn’t happen without our wonderful team of volunteers. Kiandre and Valethar have been with me since last year, and are instrumental with the work they have done for the…

Onward to 2021

Hi folks! This year has been a challenge on many of us, and I can only hope the next year goes by more smoothly. Having said that, we have reached the end of 2020, woo! This was my first not-quite-a-year on Imperian, and it has been a whole learning experience. It has been a bit…
