The Moons

Salutations, Mortals!

I have recently been overhauling the Moon code, as the existing phases
were rather complicated and really not clear as to what they actually
were. You will now find that we have four phases, New Moon, Waxing, Full
Moon, and Waning. Also, things are a little more regulated and
predictable, with phases changing on regular days each month, as well as
distances of the moons from the land beneath. I will leave it to the
stargazers amongst you to work out what the schedules are, but you will
find them now linked firmly to dates!

Obviously, there may be a few bugs, and if you notice one, please report
it via the BUG command, including the word MOONBUG in the report to make
it easier for me to spot them. Aspects, some of your powers that depend
upon the position of moons may be slightly varied as I have changed the
formulas. Any serious problems, please bug them as above.

Those of you questioning if these changes are related to the Moon-based
professions being worked upon.. will have to wait and see. For now, a
definite maybe! But I can promise that I will be dropping a few teasers
for you in the upcoming days.

Janus

Penned by my hand on the 11th of Fas, in the year 529 AD.
