If you have been keeping up with the Help File Improvement thread on the forums, you already know what this post is about - promotion items!

One complaint we've heard is that the help file for promotion items was unwieldy. There were too many items to find something in the file, and it's tough to figure out what some item you receive is or does.

To alleviate both of those problems, I've added a new set of subcommands under the PROMO command - PROMO INFO:

Promotion Item Information Commands
-----------------------------------
PROMO INFO LIST [search term(s)] Display the list of promotion items
PROMO INFO <#> [SHOW] View information about a promotion item
PROMO INFO ITEM <item> Given an item you're holding, look up any promo info

These commands will let you search a database of promotion items, view the information about them (which was previously in the unwieldy help file), and even determine if an item you're holding is a promotion item!

To use the latter of these commands, let's imagine that I'm holding the following item:
"tonic368865" a sapphire tonic (water breathing)

I can use "PROMO INFO ITEM tonic368865" to look up the item in the promotions item database, and it will show me the following:

Syntax: DRINK <tonic>
Description:
There are three different types of Sapphire tonic. All are one use items.

- Burrowing Tonic (sapphire tonic): Can use the BURROW for 60 minutes.

- Flying Tonic (sapphire tonic): Can FLY for 60 minutes.

- Water Breathing (sapphire tonic): Can be safely underwater without a glassbubble or quince for 60
minutes.
