Tomes of the Crafter

Hello!

It seems that I have vastly overestimated forum readership yet again. As part of the upcoming Tradeskill Revamp, Tomes of the Crafter will be removed from the game.

Essentially, given a paperless system, there is no need for a physical representation to "preserve" any designs. There is also no need to buy preservations in packs of 50 (as that is what the Tome is, essentially) when one could simply purchase them as needed.

In the new system, permanently preserving a design will cost 2cr. As part of the conversion process, those who own Tomes of the Crafter will be granted 50 completely free preservations for each Tome. If there are any designs you do not wish to be preserved on conversion day, and would prefer to get a free preservation instead, you should remove them from your Tomes this weekend. Some players have expressed their desire to trade in the tome (at its normal 2/3rds value) rather than being granted free preservations. I agreed to give those players plenty of advance notice to do so, and my last post was meant to be a fulfillment of that promise.

For more information about the Tome conversions and the Revamp at large, feel free to visit and contribute to the forum thread at http://forums.imperian.com/discussion/36/imperian-tradeskill-revamp-part-2 .
